Jose Carpio Cañada has a degree in computer science from the University of Granada and is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology at the University of Huelva. Since 1997 has worked on several projects related with web development. Initially, as part of web development team of the School of Computer Engineering at the University of Granada and later participating as teacher of courses like «Training Webmaster» or «Programming E-commerce Web sites». He later worked as development manager in Novarsis Europe, company that developed a social network for proffesionals involved in building construction. Currently, main research area is developing recommender systems based on social tagging from data sources like twitter, facebook or delicious.
